We are seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Response Specialists to join our team. In this role, you will provide virtual assistance to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, ensuring their health, safety, and well-being. You will monitor incoming alarm signals, respond according to individualized client protocols, and coordinate with emergency services when necessary. While the position involves occasional urgent calls, most interactions focus on support tasks such as medication reminders, wellness check-ins, and contacting backup supports.
This role requires heavy computer and phone work as well as taking verbal instructions, typing, reading, speaking and writing.
Principal Duties:
- Navigate and respond to all software platforms.
- Follow individualized client protocols accurately and without deviation.
- Make outbound calls to coordinate with Police or Fire Departments when needed.
- Conduct wellness calls and check-ins with clients.
- Provide medication reminders to clients per their care plan.
- Contact backup or emergency contacts as outlined in client protocols.
- Document all activities and communications in accordance with company procedures.
- Maintain a calm, professional demeanor in both routine and urgent situations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure continuity of care and safety for all clients.
- Maintain a professional appearance for the entirety of your shift, as you will be participating in video calls throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- Clean Background check and work history.
- Successful completion of Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) online training modules (8 hours) prior to the first day of on-site training.
- Maintains a positive, team-oriented attitude that supports a collaborative and welcoming work environment.
- Use only company-provided software; AI tools are prohibited due to sensitive documentation.
- Must have a HIPAA-compliant home workspace where conversations cannot be overheard and screens are not visible to others; otherwise, all shifts will be worked from the THS home office.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intermediate computer knowledge including Microsoft applications.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
- Comfortable handling potential emergency situations.
- Proficient typing skills (minimum of 50 words per minute).
- Mandatory rotating weekends are required (Friday through Sunday).
- Must reside within approximately 30 mins of THS home office.
