Cook Job description
A Bent’s Camp Cook is a motivated individual with a passion for creating delicious meals for our patrons. Our Cooks interact with our entire team to meet dining needs and provide accurate food quality and service to ensure the guests have a great experience at the resort. Bent’s Cooks are essential members of the team – working together as a kitchen team to deliver food that meets the highest quality standards, all while maintaining execution of service and communication from back of the house to front of house.
Role/Responsibilities:
· Positive, attentive, and personalized service
· Cook and prepare food items according to the menu and orders coming from waitstaff
· Ensuring that all food is of excellent quality and served in a timely manner
· Sets up and organizes, station, stocks food items and other necessary supplies
· Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sauteing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards
· Maintain a thorough knowledge of all food menus and specials (pairings, preparation, allergens, etc)
· Work in assigned area/station in kitchen (Pizzas, Dishes, Fryer, Setup, Grill, Sautee)
· Work in other areas of the kitchen, as assigned
· Accurately prepare food orders after checking for correct temperate, appearance and portions
· Complete set up/opening and/or closing duties
· Complete standard cleaning procedures
· Complete daily checklists
· Be a team player by performing other duties as needed and deemed by management (including, but not limited to cleaning, dishes, etc.)
Qualifications:
· Previous cooking experience preferred
· Flexible availability – able to work shifts including weekends, holidays, and events
· Excellent communication skills
· Problem solving
· Ability to work in a fast paced environment
· Thoroughness – attention to detail
· Ability to bend, twist, kneel, stand/walk for long periods of time, and lift/carry up to 30 pounds
· ServSafe Food Handler Certification
· Strong understanding of customer service
· Guest-focused with a friendly, personal attitude
· Excellent team player
· Highschool diploma or GED
