Performs intermediate technical and paraprofessional work in the County Administrator's office assisting with all administrative activities related to the Board of Supervisors. Does related work as required. Work is performed under the supervision of the Deputy Clerk to the Board of Supervisors and shall assume all the duties and responsibilities in their absence.
The hiring range for this position is $28.93/hour to $39.78/hour based on experience.
The full salary range for this position is $28.93/hour to $50.63/hour to provide opportunity for growth and development.
Bachelor's Degree in public or business administration, or related field, and 1 to 3 years of administrative support work experience, preferably in local government or public services environment.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of or ability to obtain certification as a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC).
Certified Notary Public of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This is sedentary work requiring the exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to move objects. Work requires reaching, standing, sitting, walking, grasping, and repetitive hand motions. Vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels. Visual acuity is required for preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities. The worker is not subject to adverse environmental conditions.
