- Support cooking processes by handling basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
- Handle food items safely, including proper storage, handling, and rotation to prevent spoilage
- Contribute to menu planning by suggesting ingredient substitutions or improvements based on operational needs
- Assist with catering orders and special event setups as needed
- Follow all food safety regulations and maintain high standards of hygiene throughout the kitchen
Experience
- Previous experience in dietary department or dietary aide roles is highly desirable
- Proven background in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service with a focus on quality and efficiency
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices in a professional kitchen environment
- Experience with menu planning, meal preparation, and food industry operations is a plus
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in basic culinary techniques are preferred
