VCA is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Special Education Teacher to join our faculty. You will be responsible for delivering assistance and guidance in conjunction with core teachers. The ideal candidate will integrate Christian principles into their teaching while maintaining high academic standards. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students with disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusive practices
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and assistive technologies to enhance learning.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction as necessary
- Maintain an accurate record of student performance and IEP documentation.
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and administration to facilitate effective communication.
- Assist in the preparation of newsletters and communications.
- Maintain student and staff information confidentiality following school policies and regulations.
- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field; additional education or certification in office administration or a related field is a plus.
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs preferred.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with office equipment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and commitment to supporting students.

Physical Requirements:
