Community Health Centers of America is hiring for a Cardiologist to work in our family practice clinics in the Fresno, CA area. Possibly will also work in partner long-term care facilities. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients for acute, episodic or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team, in the clinic setting.

Job Description:

Obtains, analyzes, and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop appropriate diagnoses.

Diagnoses or treats acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, or injuries.

Recommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions.
-
Prescribes medications.
-
Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.
-
Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests.
-
Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.
-
Detects and responds to adverse drug reactions.
-
Perform follow-up visits to monitor patients or evaluate health or illness care.
-
Performs cardiological physical examinations.
-
Supervises or coordinates patient care or support staff activities.
-
Maintains current knowledge of state legal regulations for nurse practitioner practice.
-
Keeps abreast of regulatory processes and payer systems.
-
Obtains health information from patient.
-
Performs physical examinations and assesses any medical problems.
-
Practices safe and healthy control methods while working with patients.
-
Educations patients and families concerning medical treatments, medications, etc.
-
Administers or orders for diagnostic tests such as x-ray, electrocardiograms and lab tests.

Interprets test results to diagnosis any related health issues.
-
Counsel patients about compliance with medication.
-
Assists in pre-operation or post-operation care.
-
Coordinates activities of patient care.
-
Document patient progress with medication or treatment.

Collaborate with other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, including healthcare professional staff to form a high performing medical team. Ensure compliance and attention to all corporate policies and procedures.

Follow facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment

Follow facility and GHR Unusual Occurrence Protocol

Respect cultural and religious practices of minor patients

Uphold HIPAA regulations

Requirements:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess a degree in medicine and a valid license from the California Medical Board.

Experience: 3-5 years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Licenses/Certifications: Appropriate certifications and/or licensures

Current BLS/ACLS required
-
Current DEA required
-
In depth knowledge of legal medical guidelines and medicine best practices
