Duties
- Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure high standards of quality and consistency
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, stock rotation, and minimizing waste to optimize profitability
- Oversee food safety practices in compliance with health regulations and company policies, including proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Lead staff training and development initiatives to enhance culinary skills, customer service, and operational efficiency
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service during shifts and handle customer inquiries or concerns professionally
- Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation
- Manage shift schedules, monitor labor costs, and implement strategies to improve productivity and team performance
Experience
- Proven management experience in a fast food restaurant, casual dining establishment, or similar food service environment with supervisory responsibilities
- Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment operation
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for efficient transaction processing
- Strong background in inventory control, budgeting, and food cost management
- Experience supervising staff training programs and conducting interviews for new team members
- Demonstrated leadership skills in hospitality management with an emphasis on team management and customer service excellence
- Knowledge of food safety standards such as HACCP or ServSafe certification is preferred
- Prior experience working in fine dining or banquet settings is a plus but not required
