Responsibilities
- Safely operate equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and move inventory efficiently.
- Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to accurately track inventory levels, process shipments, and update stock records.
- Perform shipping and receiving duties by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting goods for damage or discrepancies, and documenting transactions.
- Execute order fulfillment tasks including picking, packing, stocking, and preparing products for shipment in accordance with customer specifications.
- Maintain organized storage areas by stacking pallets safely, managing stock levels with basic math skills, and ensuring proper placement for easy access.
- Assist with inventory management using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400 to ensure stock accuracy and support reorder processes.
- Collaborate with team members to support warehouse distribution efforts and ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Requirements
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment or related logistics setting is preferred but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (certification preferred), reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers safely.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or similar ERP systems is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Basic math skills for counting stock quantities and calculating measurements during packing or loading processes.
- Ability to lift heavy objects regularly and stand or walk for extended periods throughout shifts.
