Step into a dynamic educational environment and support students’ communication growth as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the upcoming school year. This is a full-time, contract opportunity located near Gilroy, CA, serving from August 19, 2026, through June 11, 2027. Two positions are available, each offering a predictable schedule from 7:45 am to 3:45 pm.
You will make a keen difference in the lives of young learners, working either at a single elementary site or with a varied caseload blending Resource Specialist Program (RSP) and Special Day Class (SDC) students. Your expertise and commitment will be pivotal in fostering students’ language, articulation, and communication development.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Possession of or ability to obtain appropriate state licensure/certification for schools
- Prior experience in school-based settings preferred, especially with elementary students
- Familiarity with both individual and group therapy methods
- Experience serving RSP and SDC caseloads is advantageous
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), and deliver targeted therapy
- Provide direct speech and language services to students, adapting interventions for diverse learning needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff on student progress and support strategies
- Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with district and state reporting requirements
- Engage in professional development and planning, contributing to a positive school culture
