Sales & Service Advisor
Classic Trailer Sales – Golden, Colorado
Full-Time
Position Overview
Classic Trailer Sales is looking for a Sales & Service Advisor to join our small, hands-on dealership in Golden, Colorado.
This is not a traditional sales-only position. We are looking for someone who can sell trailers while also helping customers with parts, service, accessories, and general trailer-related questions. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with customers, mechanically inclined, organized, and willing to learn all elements of the trailer business.
The Sales & Service Advisor will be one of the primary customer-facing employees at the dealership and will work closely with the General Manager, parts staff, and service technicians to make sure customers receive knowledgeable and timely service from their initial inquiry through delivery and future service needs.

- Explain trailer specifications, options, GVWR, payload, axles, brakes, suspension, hitches, tires, and accessories.
- Discuss available financing and rent-to-own programs with customers.
- Handle trade-in discussions and gather information needed for appraisal.
- Prepare sales paperwork and coordinate trailer deliveries.
- Maintain accurate customer and lead notes in dealership systems.
- Follow up with previous customers and open opportunities.
- Assist with merchandising and maintaining accurate trailer inventory information.
Service Advising
- Greet service customers and determine their concerns or requested repairs.
- Write clear and accurate service repair orders.
- Gather the information technicians need to diagnose and repair trailers efficiently.
- Communicate repair recommendations, estimates, and status updates to customers.
- Obtain customer authorization before additional work is performed.
- Coordinate with technicians regarding scheduling, parts requirements, and completion of repairs.
- Review completed work with customers and assist with service checkout.
- Help identify additional maintenance or repair needs when appropriate.
Parts & Accessories
- Assist customers with common trailer parts and accessories.
- Help identify components such as hubs, bearings, brakes, suspension parts, lights, wiring components, couplers, jacks, tires, wheels, and towing accessories.
- Prepare parts quotes and customer orders.
- Coordinate with parts staff when special-order items are required.
- Recommend appropriate accessories and upgrades during trailer sales and service interactions.
Dealership Operations
- Answer incoming calls and direct customers appropriately.
- Assist customers at the front counter.

What Success Looks Like
A successful Sales & Service Advisor should be able to manage the majority of normal customer interactions from beginning to end.
That means being able to help one customer select and purchase a trailer, write up the next customer's trailer for service, help another customer identify a replacement part, and follow up with prospective buyers—all while keeping accurate notes and making sure customers receive timely communication.
This position requires someone who can take ownership of customer needs rather than simply passing questions to someone else.
Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience and may include individual sales incentives and dealership performance bonuses.
Schedule
Full-time, on-site position at our Golden, Colorado dealership.
