Work Schedule
- Tuesday, August 18, 2026
- Hours: 4:30 p.m. in the evening, until election operations are complete (closing).
- Employees must be available to work the full assigned shift, including overtime as necessary, and may not leave until released by supervisory personnel.
- Attendance for the entire shift is required to support the secure and timely transportation of election equipment, ballots, precinct returns, and other official election materials. This aligns with the job's requirement that employees remain available for the full duration of their assigned shift unless released by supervisory personnel.
Compensation
- Election Night Driver: $250 flat rate for the day
- Election Night Driver's Helper: $220 flat rate for the day
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must:
- Be dependable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive election environment.
- Be able to repeatedly lift and move election equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Successfully complete all required election, logistics, chain-of-custody, and safety training.
- Successfully complete any required background screening before assignment.
Driver Requirements
Candidates applying for the Driver position must also:
- Possess a valid Florida Driver License.
- Have an acceptable driving record.
- Be able to safely operate county or office-assigned vehicles in accordance with Florida law and office safety requirements.
Screening Requirements
- All candidates must successfully complete the required background screening and drug screening requirements before beginning the assignment. Candidates will not be authorized to begin work until all required screening results have been received, reviewed, and cleared.
Pay: $250.00 per hour
