Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Runner to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The Food Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests receive their orders promptly and accurately, contributing to an exceptional dining experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, a strong sense of teamwork, and a passion for customer service.
Duties
- Deliver food and beverages from the kitchen to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
- Assist servers by communicating guest needs and preferences effectively.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods, to answer guest inquiries.
- Ensure that all food handling and safety guidelines are followed to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Help with setting up and clearing tables as needed, contributing to overall guest satisfaction.
- Support the restaurant team by assisting in various tasks as directed by management.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with food handling practices and safety protocols is advantageous.
- Experience using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems is a plus.
- A background in kitchen operations or cooking is beneficial for understanding menu items and preparation.
