What You’ll Own
- Set the standard on the floor — model the work, mentor the techs, master the craft
- Lead diagnostics on the jobs nobody else wants to touch (advanced electrical, aftertreatment, engine, drivetrain)
- Drive shop efficiency, productivity, and quality control — your numbers are the shop’s numbers
- Develop a high-producing flat-rate team — coach speed, accuracy, and accountability
- Partner directly with the Service Manager on production, scheduling, and technician development
- Hold the line on accountability, discipline, and excellence — every RO, every day
Who We’re Looking For
This is not an entry-level lead role. We’re hiring a finished product.
- 10+ years of heavy-duty diesel experience (Class 7/8, medium-duty, fleet)
- Proven leadership — you’ve run a team, a bay, or a shift, and you’ve got the references to prove it
- Master-level diagnostics across electrical, aftertreatment, engines, and drivetrain
- ASE Master / OEM certifications strongly preferred (Cummins, Detroit, PACCAR, Allison, etc.)
- Experience leading or working in a flat-rate shop strongly preferred
- The kind of person teammates respect and follow — not because of title, but because of how you carry yourself
- Disciplined, accountable, and aligned with a team that takes this business seriously
The Comp Plan
- Base Salary: $95,000–$115,000 (commensurate with experience and certifications)
- Weekly Team Bonuses: $100 per tech hitting 40 billed hours; $250 shop-wide bonus when the team averages 45+ hours
- Monthly KPI Bonus: $1,000 when the shop hits target
- Realistic OTE: $115K–$130K+ annually for a lead who runs a tight, productive floor
