Regular Full-Time (Req# 2026-173) 8 and 12-hour rotating shifts, 40 hours per week. Endurance for shift rotation required. Occasional overtime may be required.

Description of Position
Under the direct supervision of the Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) and/or Charge Nurse, the monitor technician will observe the cardiac monitor central station and assess for any changes in a patient's cardiac rhythm, oxygen saturation and/or blood pressure and/or signs of problems with leads. The Monitor Technician is responsible to notify the primary RN of any lethal arrhythmia (red alarm) and/or "lead off" alarms within 1 minute of onset. The Monitor Technician is also responsible to document any abnormalities and all alarms on the forms provided.
Qualifications and Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a cardiac monitoring course or equivalent preferred with ability to identify complex, normal and abnormal EKG rhythm strips, including PR, QRS and QT intervals and rates. Must be familiar with medical terminology and have fluent keyboarding skills.
Starting Hourly Rate $22.48
