Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide essential support and care to individuals in private homes. In this role, you will empower clients to maintain their independence, enhance their quality of life, and receive personalized assistance with daily activities. Your energetic approach and attentive nature will ensure each person feels valued, safe, and supported every day.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
- Observing changes in condition, and reporting findings to office Administrator.
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces.
- Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to safely assist with mobility or heavy lifting needs.
- Document care activities accurately in compliance with care plans and regulations while respecting patient confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age and provide proof of age.
- Certifications such as CPR/First Aid; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon intent to hire.
- Ability to work independently.
- Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach toward clients’ physical and emotional needs.
- Physical stamina for activities including heavy lifting, long periods of standing or walking, and assisting with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts.
- Experience working within care plans for residents with complex conditions such as dementia or chronic illnesses is highly desirable.

Pay: $16.00 per hour
