Down South Portables is a rapidly growing site-services company serving the Charleston market, and we’re looking for an experienced Service Route Driver who can hit the ground running.
This is not an entry-level position. We are specifically looking for someone with previous experience in portable sanitation, septic, waste, environmental services, or a similar route-based service industry.
If you know how to manage a route, operate a pump truck, service equipment properly, communicate with customers, and keep moving without someone looking over your shoulder all day, you’ll fit in well here.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
You’ll be responsible for running an assigned service route throughout the Charleston area, including:
- Servicing and pumping portable restrooms
- Properly cleaning, sanitizing and restocking units
- Operating a vacuum/pump service truck
- Managing your route efficiently
- Completing service documentation and required photos
- Identifying damaged units or site issues
- Communicating with dispatch/management throughout the day
- Providing professional service at construction sites and customer locations
- Assisting with deliveries and pickups when needed
- Performing daily truck inspections and taking care of assigned equipment
WHO WE WANT
Previous industry or closely related experience is strongly preferred.
Ideal candidates have experience with companies or industries involving:
- Portable restroom / portable sanitation service
- Site services
- Septic pumping/service
- Waste or environmental services
- Vacuum truck operation
- Construction site services
- Route-based commercial service
You should already understand what it means to run a route, manage your time, take care of your equipment and make sure every customer is serviced correctly.
