We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly driven Permanent Assistant Superintendent for our Healthcare division in the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is looking to take their career to the next level by contributing to the overall success of our healthcare construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Superintendent in coordinating all site construction activities (TI/Tenant Improvements) and supervising field personnel to ensure that the project is delivered within the agreed time frame and budget. They will also be expected to maintain the highest quality of work and enforce all safety protocols. MUST HAVE: Oshpd/HCAi Experience. TI/Tenant Improvement
Responsibilities:
1. Assist the Superintendent in the implementation of the project plan and schedule, ensuring that all activities are carried out as per the plan.
2. Oversee and direct daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standard.
3. Ensure that all workers on the site adhere strictly to safety regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
4. Coordinate and supervise all construction activities, ensuring that all tasks are executed accurately and on schedule.
5. Work closely with the project team and other stakeholders to resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the construction process.
6. Conduct regular inspections on the construction site to ensure that all work is being carried out according to the project specifications and quality standards.
7. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations.
8. Assist in the preparation of project reports and documentation, ensuring that all information is accurate and up to date.
9. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting team work and effective communication among all team members.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the healthcare construction industry.
3. Thorough understanding of the Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) regulations and procedures.
4. Proficient in using Healthcare Cost and Utilization Project (HCAi) tools.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to supervise and coordinate the work of a diverse team.
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve issues and discrepancies efficiently and effectively.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
9. Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure that all work is carried out to the highest standard.
10. Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) would be an added advantage.
