Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ physical condition, including mobility, strength, and functional abilities.
- Develop and execute tailored care plans that align with patient goals and medical requirements.
- Provide hands-on therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics interventions to alleviate pain and restore function.
- Educate patients and their families on exercises, injury prevention, and home care strategies to support ongoing recovery.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transition from inpatient to community or home settings.
- Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) systems accurately to document progress, treatment plans, and clinical notes.
- Deliver specialized care in various environments including acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, pediatrics, geriatrics, and home health settings.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure or registration as a licensed Physical Therapist in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Demonstrated experience in inpatient hospital settings, outpatient clinics, or home & community care environments.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques.
- Experience with discharge planning, care plan development, and patient care across diverse populations such as pediatrics and geriatrics.
- Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and treatment tracking.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced hospital or clinic settings.
- Excellent communication skills to educate patients on treatment protocols and recovery strategies. Pay: From $85.00 per hour
