Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to promote positive behaviors and skill acquisition.
- Collect, record, and analyze data on client progress to inform treatment strategies and ensure effective outcomes.
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and other self-care routines.
- Support teaching sessions that enhance communication, social skills, and adaptive behaviors tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate closely with supervisors, families, and other team members to ensure consistency in behavioral management strategies.
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that encourages growth, independence, and confidence for individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), or working with children with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and experience assisting with ADLs.
- Excellent teaching skills with the ability to motivate and engage clients effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, documentation standards, and HIPAA compliance is a plus.
- Compassionate attitude with patience and adaptability to meet diverse client needs.
- Ability to work well independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to patient care.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in behavior analysis or special education are advantageous. Setting:
Behavior Outreach and Consulting provides in-home ABA therapy services in an individual’s natural environments which may include the home, daycare, or school settings, according to individual needs. Through a trauma-informed approach, we focus on improving behavior repertoires by prioritizing meeting an individual’s sensory and functional communication needs. Behavior Technician’s/ Registered Behavior Technicians provide intensive services primarily in the family home, under the supervision of a Program Supervisor and Supervising BCBA. BTs/RBTs will utilize strategies such as Natural Environment Teaching(NET), Play Therapy, Discrete Trial Training (DTT) and sensory regulatory exercises through physical prompting.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
