Role and Responsibilities
The Showroom Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of the Kircher Design Studio in Miamisburg while helping clients select materials and finishes for their remodeling projects. This role combines customer service, organization, and design support to create a welcoming, professional experience for every visitor.
Responsibilities include:
Guide clients through selections of cabinetry finishes, countertops, tile, hardware, plumbing fixtures, and other materials
Assemble material boards and sample combinations for client projects
Support the design team by gathering product samples and preparing selections for client meetings
Document client selections and maintain project information in Buildertrend
Welcome studio visitors, answer general questions, and connect prospective clients with the appropriate team member
Answer incoming calls and manage showroom inquiries
Maintain an organized, welcoming studio with current product displays and samples
Monitor and order product samples, brochures, office supplies, and everyday studio necessities
Coordinate cleaning, trash removal, snow removal, utilities, and other facility-related services
Serve as the primary contact for routine studio maintenance and vendor scheduling
Meet with manufacturer and distributor representatives to stay current on products, pricing, and availability
Remove discontinued samples and coordinate replacements with vendors
Help ensure the studio is prepared for client meetings, appointments, and daily operations
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Two or more years of experience in showroom operations, interior design support, kitchen and bath, retail sales, or a related customer service role is preferred. Familiarity with cabinetry, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and related building products is a plus.
Preferred Skills
The ideal candidate has a good eye for coordinating colors, materials, and finishes along with strong organizational and communication skills. Applicants should be comfortable working with clients and vendors, managing multiple responsibilities, using computers, and learning project management software such as Buildertrend. A positive, team-oriented approach and attention to detail are important for success in this role.
