Certified Veterinary Technician — Lomira, WI | $1,500 Sign-On Bonus
Veterinary Village in Lomira, WI, has served pet owners throughout Wisconsin since 1982. As a privately held practice with seven veterinarians, we provide comprehensive veterinary care, including canine reproduction services.
Certified Veterinary Technicians play a vital role in patient care and veterinary support. In this position, you will apply your skills in anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, dentistry, laboratory procedures, radiography, client education, and nursing care.
We are looking for dedicated, compassionate Certified Veterinary Technicians who are committed to high-quality animal care. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, sound veterinary knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Veterinary Village is offering a $1,500 sign-on bonus.
Qualifications:
· Current Wisconsin Certified Veterinary Technician license, or ability to obtain Wisconsin licensure within three months.
· Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and commitment to being a dependable team member.
· Reliable attendance and punctuality for scheduled shifts.
· Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, surgical assistance, laboratory procedures, and radiography.
· Strong knowledge of veterinary medical terminology and procedures.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks at once.
· Compassionate, caring approach with a dedication to exceptional patient care.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to follow hospital protocols and procedures.
· Flexibility to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
· Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more than 100 pounds with assistance.

Essential Responsibilities:
· Assist veterinarians with medical, surgical, and outpatient care as needed.
· Induce, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia under veterinarian direction.
· Perform dental cleanings and dental radiographs.
· Support outpatient exams by taking patient histories, vital signs, and weights, and by providing client education.
· Prepare patients for surgery and monitor vital signs during procedures.
· Collect blood, stool, and other specimens; perform in-house laboratory testing; and prepare samples for outside laboratories.
· Collect blood samples from cephalic, saphenous, and jugular veins.
· Take radiographs while following proper safety procedures.
· Provide safe animal handling and restraint during exams and treatments.
· Administer and monitor medications, anesthesia, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
· Clean, organize, and restock exam rooms, treatment areas, lab areas, public spaces, and medical equipment.
· Maintain warm, courteous, professional client interactions and compassionate patient care.
· Communicate clearly with veterinarians and team members about client discussions, patient care plans, and concerns.
· Maintain regular attendance for scheduled shifts.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour
