Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) to join our dynamic team with opportunities for growth. The LPC-A will provide clinical counseling services under supervision, utilizing evidence-based practices to support clients' mental health and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that emphasizes holistic care, professional development, and innovative treatment approaches.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure client safety and manage acute situations effectively.
- Engage in case management activities, including patient care coordination and progress monitoring through EMR/EHR systems.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote therapy sessions while ensuring compliance with telehealth therapy standards.
- Engage in 1:1 supervision 1x per week to discuss caseload.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support clients with co-occurring disorders, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and other complex needs.
Skills
- Proficiency in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and social work principles.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding for diagnostic evaluation and medical records documentation.
- Familiarity with crisis management protocols, behavior management strategies, and trauma-focused interventions.
- Ability to conduct mental health assessments and treatment planning within evidence-based practice frameworks.
- Experience working in outpatient or inpatient settings with a focus on pediatrics or geriatrics is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
