Under direction of the Truck Operations Supervisor this individual will perform various functions within the Operations Department. To include, but not limited to, dispatching drivers and engaging in follow ups as needed with regard to schedules and issues, receives calls, collects information and provided professional service to internal/external customers and drivers.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Resolve/elevate/document customer & driver issues appropriately
- Exercise discretion and independent judgment with regard to daily workload
- Responsible for retention and management of entire driver fleet
- Works with employees and management team to attain company goals
- Consistently exceeds productivity standards for all assignments
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Trucking dispatch experience required
- Previous Customer Service experience required
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Must have solid proficiency in all Microsoft office products
- Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills
- Exceptional organizational skills are required
- Ability to follow directions with emphasis on accuracy and quality control
- Good communication skills including the ability to interface effectively with customers, vendors, drivers, and all internal departments
- Ability to learn and utilize various software systems utilized to perform daily task
