Responsibilities
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, children, and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
- Assist with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and diapering for young children and infants
- Support early childhood development through engaging activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional well-being
- Implement behavior management techniques to encourage positive behavior and address challenges effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized environment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Collaborate with families or guardians to understand individual needs and preferences
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health concerns
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including feeding routines and developmental milestones
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies suitable for different age groups
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous but not mandatory; training can be provided if needed
- Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families, team members, and other caregivers
