Duties
- Assist with food preparation and cooking to ensure timely service and high-quality dishes
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Support kitchen operations by organizing ingredients, utensils, and supplies for smooth workflow
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including dishwashing, surface sanitation, and waste disposal
- Contribute to food presentation and plating to meet aesthetic standards
- Support catering events and special meal preparations as needed
- Serve as a team player by collaborating with culinary staff to meet daily goals
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable
- Experience in food preparation, cooking, or the food service industry is preferred
- Kitchen experience in a restaurant or catering setting will be advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques is essential
- Skills in menu planning, meal preparation, and knife handling are a plus
- Familiarity with culinary practices related to the food industry enhances your candidacy
- Strong attention to detail in food presentation and safety standards is required
