Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced, highly efficient, and leadership‑driven Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience, excels in a fast‑paced environment, and is confident in both surgical and medical support.
Duties
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results, including blood work and urinalysis
- Assist veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries
- Prepare patients and surgical suites for surgery, including induction support and sterile setup
- Assist in surgery and monitor anesthesia with confidence and accuracy
- Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental extractions
- Efficiently manage daily appointments and surgical schedules to maintain smooth hospital flow
- Provide high‑quality care to hospitalized patients, including treatments, monitoring, and documentation
- Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
- Maintain accurate medical records and patient notes
- Ensure proper animal handling and restraint
- Maintain cleanliness, organization, and aseptic standards throughout the hospital
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding patient care
Qualifications
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and guide team workflow
- Experience assisting in surgery, including anesthesia monitoring and surgical prep
- Experience with dental cleanings and assisting with extractions
- Proven efficiency in managing appointments and surgical schedules
- Skilled in caring for hospitalized patients, including monitoring and treatment administration
- Strong animal‑handling and restraint abilities
- Excellent communication and client‑education skills
- Commitment to compassionate, high‑quality patient care
