OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Benefits Client Manager is responsible for day-to-day management of a book of business consisting of a range of groups. For smaller groups, the Benefits Client Manager comprehensively manages the client relationship including quotes, initial enrollment, ongoing enrollment, renewal, client service consulting, and overall group management. For larger groups, the Benefits Client Manager assists Senior Account Managers with the group management. This position serves as the primary point of contact for any benefits-related service needs and works closely with the internal service team, Senior Account Managers and Benefits Consultants to ensure client expectations are consistently met or exceeded from the point of engagement and throughout their tenure.
- Manage, in coordination with the Benefit Consultants and Senior Account Managers, the insurance plan renewals and address the needs of each client in the book of business.
- Project manages and executes a seamless implementation process for all policies and plans.
- Notifies insurance carriers and other vendors of client’s program decisions and request all necessary implementation, amendment or termination documents to provide to the carriers.
- Determines paperwork requirements and implementation schedules for each line of coverage.
- Obtains and processes completed master paperwork with carriers and other vendors. Contacts client for any missing enrollment information.
- Oversees new client onboarding by working collaboratively with benefit consultant to establish the implementation plan, team and timeline.
- Manages and maintains assigned book of business for groups serving in an advisory capacity.
- Works closely with Benefits Consultants and Senior Account Managers to manage renewal process.
- Manages day-to-day client issues and conducts frequent client meetings.
- Conducts needs analysis and strategy calls.
- Prepare and conduct enrollment meetings.
- Advises clients in reducing costs while offering competitive benefits options.
- Assists clients with regulatory filings such as the Form 5500.
- Set up and maintenance of clients’ benefit administration platform.
- Builds relationships with clients through proactive communication including educating clients on latest industry trends, concerns and changes.
- Assists in growing book of business through cross-sale opportunities.
- Provides leadership within the client service team.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in business preferred.
- At least two years of client service or account management experience required.
- Experience working at a broker agency or benefit administration firm required.
- Life and Health Insurance License required or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
Skills & Core Values

SALARY & BENEFITS
We offer an attractive salary in the range of $85,000-$100,000, with future opportunities for growth and advancement. In addition, we offer an exceptional benefit package, including employer 401(k) contributions, Paid Time Off, long-term disability insurance, life insurance, and elective medical, dental, and vision benefits.
