As EdenFirst continues to grow, we're building our clinical nursing team and looking for experienced, dependable Virginia-licensed Registered Nurses (RNs) interested in flexible, PRN or part-time home care opportunities.
This role is ideal for an RN with home care, home health, senior care, long-term care, or community-based nursing experience who is looking for flexible work that can complement an existing professional schedule.
For an experienced RN interested in a deeper, ongoing relationship with EdenFirst, there may also be an opportunity to serve as a Lead RN, working closely with agency leadership as our clinical services grow.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Depending on client needs, experience, and assigned visits, responsibilities may include:
- Conducting initial client assessments and reassessments
- Developing, reviewing, and updating individualized plans of care
- Performing required supervisory visits
- Evaluating and documenting caregiver competency and skills, when applicable
- Reviewing changes in client condition and identifying when updates to the plan of care may be appropriate
- Communicating with clients, families, caregivers, and agency leadership regarding care needs
- Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Providing professional nursing guidance related to client care and caregiver support
- Supporting caregiver training and education, when applicable
- Helping ensure safe, high-quality personal care practices and standards
- Serving as a clinical resource to the EdenFirst care team
LEAD RN OPPORTUNITY
For the right candidate, EdenFirst is also interested in developing a longer-term relationship with an experienced RN who would serve as a Lead RN and primary clinical resource for the agency.
The Lead RN may take on additional responsibilities related to care-plan oversight, caregiver competency and training, clinical guidance, quality standards, and collaboration with agency leadership.
This is designed to be a flexible role and may be held alongside other nursing employment.
Interest in the Lead RN opportunity is welcomed but is not required to apply.
WHAT WE OFFER
- $70–$75 per standard client assessment/visit, based on experience and responsibilities
- Flexible PRN / part-time scheduling
- Ability to provide your preferred days of weekly availability
- Mileage reimbursement for eligible travel between assigned client locations

AVAILABILITY & SCHEDULING
We understand that many of our RNs may maintain other nursing positions.
RNs should be able to provide consistent weekly availability for client assessments and visits and identify preferred days during the hiring process. Additional visits may be offered based on client needs and RN availability.
Hours are not guaranteed and will initially vary based on client needs, with opportunities to increase as EdenFirst's client base grows.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
- RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Home care, home health, senior care, long-term care, assisted living, or community-based nursing experience preferred
- Experience conducting client assessments and developing plans of care preferred
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Comfortable completing electronic documentation
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to travel to assigned client homes throughout Northern Virginia
- Ability to successfully complete required background and credential verification
