Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced cook for grill side to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in food preparation, menu planning, and food safety, with a passion for delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a professional with extensive kitchen experience, fine dining skills, and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food handling. The successful candidate will contribute to creating delicious, well-presented dishes that meet our establishment’s standards and satisfy our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Assist with menu planning and develop new culinary ideas to enhance offerings
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, adhering to food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and workstations throughout shifts
- Manage food inventory, restocking supplies as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods
- Serve dishes professionally, ensuring presentation meets quality standards
- Assist with catering events and special functions as required
- Support other kitchen staff with meal preparation and plating as needed
Skills
- Extensive culinary experience, including fine dining and restaurant environments
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in food preparation techniques
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in menu planning and meal preparation for diverse dietary needs
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen setting
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Background in dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus
- Familiarity with catering services and food service operations
- Knowledge of the food industry trends and best practices in culinary arts
