Rooms Division Manager
Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking a Rooms Division Manager. In this role, you will assist Rooms Division Director in operation of the Front Office, Housekeeping, and Maintenance Departments and work closely with the General Manager on special projects and assignments.
As part of our leadership team, you'll embody our Promise to Lead with Love—guiding, supporting, and inspiring associates while delivering extraordinary guest experiences. You'll be responsible for maximizing guest service scores and opportunities within the Division.
This is an hourly wage role
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management, evaluation, and performance of all Rooms Division functions, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, Concierge, PBX and Bell Staff/Shuttle/Valet Service.
- Regularly monitor and inspect all hotel operations to ensure effective performance
- Be responsible for overseeing all labor cost controls within budgeted limits and occupancy variances to maximize productivity
- Respond to all guest requests, problems, complaints, comment cards, letters and/or phone calls, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner and follow up to ensure guest satisfaction
- Work a varied schedule including nights and weekends and participate in the MOD program as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous Rooms Division experience in Housekeeping or Front Desk preferred. Have a broad understanding of the tourism industry and the day-to-day functions of all aspects of a resort.
- Bi-lingual skills are preferred but not required
- Four-year college degree in hospitality, business management, or related field preferred
- A leadership style rooted in collaboration, respect, and service to others.
- 5 years of progressive hotel/resort experience in full-service properties more than 500 rooms
