Overview
We are looking for a skilled tool and die maker to craft metal dies, tools and fixtures for our Massillon, Ohio manufacturing facility.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 to 10 years’ experience as a Tool & Die Maker/Machinist.
- Interpret component drawings to skillfully mill, turn and grind dies, and assemble the completed components.
- Candidates must have experience with general tool room equipment: mills, lathes, and surface grinders are a minimum requirement. CNC mills, CNC wire EDM and Blanchard grinding are a plus.
- Proficient at reading blueprints.
- Working knowledge of micrometers, calipers, shadow graph, Rockwell Testers and heat treating parameters.
- Strong communication skills and efficient time management.
- Work independently and in a team setting.
- Attention to detail is very important in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform machining operations to support specialized manufacturing processes.
- Set up and operate all types of machine shop equipment, such as mills, grinders, lathes, etc.
- Perform machining operations that require a high degree of precision utilizing all types of machine shop equipment.
- Must perform work assignments with minimum supervision.
- Responsible for maintaining quality support necessary to ensure compliant manufacturing operations.
- Responsible for total quality of products and services and authorized to stop work when a non-conformance is noted.
- Observe established EHS regulations and practices.
- Maintain good housekeeping.
- Must be able to perform all machining operations safely and advise supervisor of required repairs of safety devices.
- Perform all required maintenance of machine shop equipment.
- Perform other responsibilities as determined by supervisor.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
