As our Event Coordinator, you’ll report directly to our Director of Catering, who’ll help show you the ropes as you learn to assist the sales team in various daily functions of the office.
We’re looking for a friendly and detail-oriented individual, ready to take on the following responsibilities:
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Answers telephones, directs calls, takes messages, and manages incoming emails
- Respond to all assigned leads assisting clients by building proposals, following up, answering questions, booking, and planning the overall event
- Create events for corporate, social, and wedding clients and possess a complete understanding of all critical information
- Manage all leads, deals, and booked events using our catering software to help organize and follow up with each client
- Follow up with each client post-event to ensure satisfaction and relay any necessary feedback to all departments
- Communicate effectively with the rest of the coordinator team and the Director of Catering
- Consistently meet or exceed standards that produce consistent, high quality, and complete event documents for production meetings, events, and open house events
- Develop and maintain excellent client relations while coordinating all details associated with each event
- Work closely with the Executive Chef, and the Hospitality and Logistics Manager on a case-by-case basis regarding client requests for non-standard or long lead time requests
- Attend weekly production meetings prepared with all relevant information and questions answered
- Create and update rental orders and diagrams as well as all documentation required for event readiness
- Support off-site events and event staff as needed
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Hospitality and/or Business or equivalent 2+ years’ experience preferred
- Strong, proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills with MS Office, Total Party Planner preferred, and Adobe InDesign (preferred)
- Time and workload management skills as an individual or on a team
- Must have a professional image and friendly demeanor
- Demonstrate a passion for the hospitality and food industry
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced atmosphere with a variety of tasks
- Current Food Handler’s Permit
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $26.75 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 – 40.0 per week
