The State Treasurer's Office is a small department located only a few blocks away from the State Capitol Building, and is close to public transportation and with parking garage options nearby. The building is a short walk away from the State Capitol Park, which is a wonderful place to exercise and enjoy the beautiful landscape during the fair-weathered months. In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
- Full-stack Development Expertise: Extensive experience and a proven track record of planning, architecting, and developing web applications as a lead full-stack developer or technology lead. Proficiency in modern web application technologies such as HTML5,CSS, JavaScript, React, C#, .Net, SQL, etc.
- Cloud Experience: Deep understanding of cloud technologies preferably Microsoft Azure (App Service, API Management, Vault, SQL Database) and experience in developing serverless applications.
- DevOps Experience: Strong background in managing code repositories and ensuring that all code changes are properly versioned, tagged, and organized, overseeing branching and merging strategies, maintaining a clean and organized codebase, building and maintaining automated deployment pipelines, ensuring continuous integration and delivery, and optimizing the development workflow for enhanced productivity and reliability, developing application IaC (infrastructure as code) templates/Azure resource manager and Bicep templates, overseeing application deployments, etc.
- Agile/Scrum practices: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies, ensuring adherence to Scrum practices, contributing to sprint planning, and adapting to changing project requirements, managing project boards, removing impediments, and facilitate and enforce code review processes to help the team deliver high-quality software.
