Job Summary:
The Seasonal Harvest Driver is primarily responsible for transporting goods from one place to another using heavy or tractor-trailer trucks. This CDL Class A driver will take ownership of all aspects of the haul, from pre to post-trip inspections, complying with DOT Hours of Service and safety regulations. Seasonal position with opportunity for Year-Round Employment.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Deliver goods via tractor-trailer trucks, both inter and intra state routes available

Load and unload cargo efficiently and correctly, observing all best practices

Record amount and type of cargo being delivered

Obtain/maintain correct documentation for loads (i.e., BOLs, deliveries signed for)

Maintain fuel levels, cleanliness of rig

Report any road-incidences to dispatch

Follow all applicable traffic laws

Conduct thorough pre and post trip inspections, completing DVIRs thoroughly and correctly Maintain accurate log via consistent and correct ELD usage

Coordinate with dispatch/shop to schedule regular maintenance on machines

Use most efficient and safe route to deliver goods as timely as possible

Exercise awareness of CSA scores and individual responsibility to improve them

Perform and acknowledge all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and the Company when completing any and all tasks related to operations

Performs other related duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

Valid CDL, Class A

Ability to work flexible schedule, including weekends

Tanker Endorsement (preferred)

Doubles Endorsement (required)

Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or GED
-
2 Years of Class A driving experience (preferred)
Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking

Able to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions

Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery

Must be able to see to visually inspect machines and verbally communicate

Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds regularly, and occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds

Able to understand enough English to accurately receive dispatch and resolve paperwork (BOLs)
-
Able to remember and understand certain instructions, guidelines or other information
-
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus

Able to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
