Nardin Academy is seeking a Physical Education teacher for our Montessori School to plan, organize and implement an appropriate educational instructional program in a learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. A Nardin Academy teacher is dedicated to the mission of the Academy, motivated to work collaboratively, and committed to a self-reflective practice and professional development.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Plans for the developmental needs of the children on an individual and group level in the areas of physical education including emotional, social and psychomotor growth
· Establishes and maintains cooperative and effective working relationships with others
· Demonstrates strong knowledge as well as the ability to employ various instructional practices in instructing individual and team activities both indoors and outdoors
· Prepares an environment to facilitate the learning needs of all children
· Demonstrates planning and preparation for instruction
· Engages in self-reflection and annual development of a growth plan
· Monitors student progress and development
· Maintains and updates academic records
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- NY State or comparable certification in teaching
- Previous teaching experience in a professional setting preferred for Montessori
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $32,000.00 - $38,000.00 per year
