Role Objective:
The Trusted Advisor is the dealership's front-line customer relations and sales representative.
The main job functions include clarifying customer’s interests in a vehicle, then matching them
with a vehicle in our inventory. Works with the customer to confirm a sale, and completes the
entire transaction in a professional manner. The successful Trusted Advisor will meet
predetermined sales objectives, and thoroughly and accurately perform designated
administrative activities.
Key Responsibilities:
A. CUSTOMER RELATIONS:
Maintain a high level of cleanliness, grooming, and professional appearance.
Conduct all business with sincerity, honesty, and genuine concern for customers. Be
professional inside and outside of the dealership.
Promptly meet and greet every customer in a friendly and courteous manner.
Acknowledge customers who are waiting and inform them that you will take care of
them as soon as possible.
Listen to customers' reason(s) for buying a vehicle.
Offer a selection of vehicles in our inventory that will satisfy the customers' needs and
wants.
Gather information for Desk Manager to determine qualification of income and ability to
purchase a vehicle.
Answer customer’s questions or seek answers from Team Leader or Sales Manager
Answer incoming telephone calls promptly, courteously, and make every effort to satisfy
the caller's inquiry.
- Strive to make sure that every customer is very satisfied with the level of service offered
by the dealership. Maintains Customer Satisfaction Survey ratings at or above the
National 3 month Average.
B. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Sales
- Know the Car Buyers Bill of Rights and Dealer’s Pledge
- Be on time for work shifts and for sales and scheduled meetings.
- Daily do your 20/20/20 (Ie: know Inventory, Activities, and Training)
- Know and follow the “Ten Steps of the Sale” Rules.
- Follow up with all unsold customers and any pending deals.
- Make 10 prospecting phone calls daily and turn in “Salesperson’s daily telephone contact
log” sheet to management. Look for Prospects for new clients at every opportunity.
- Attend all scheduled meetings assigned.
- Each day the opening sales crew starts all used cars on the main lot and identify any
problems with vehicles to management.
- Weekly start all new cars in the front lot and keep new/used car inventory at main lot
full.
- Upon returning from a demo drive, put car back in the space where you got it and keep
the lot clean at all times.
- Keys-Put them back on key boards in the proper place after use/sign out and in.
- Log all customers in the daily log sheet kept at the Sales Desk and in CRM.
- Turn all customers at the Sales Desk.
- Walks the Customers around the lot only upon the approval of management.
- Obtain and maintain certification status at all times.
- Log all customers into “CRM” system and update customer management files daily.
- Follow up on all sold customers: ask for referrals.
- SELL A MINIMUM FOR SIX (6) VEHICLES A MONTH!!!

C. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Administration
- Important: All Commitments to repair or warranty any part of a Vehicle whether it be a
New, Used, or “As Is” vehicle, must be approved by a Sales Manager, AND be fully
disclosed in writing.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas, including desks on the Showroom floor.
- Perform other specific administrative functions as directed by Sales Manager
Pay: $50,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
