Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Generator Field Service Technician to join our team and deliver exceptional on-site service for power generation systems. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of generator equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise will help keep critical power systems operational across various industries, providing peace of mind to our clients. Duties
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on diesel and gaseous-powered generators and associated equipment such as automatic transfer switches.
- Troubleshoot single-phase and three-phase electrical, mechanical, and control system issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
- Repair and replace engine components, including engines from brands such as Cummins or similar heavy-duty models.
- Assist with the installation or replacement of standby power generators and/or automatic transfer switches.
- Connect and test temporary, portable standby generators.
- Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and documentation of all repairs performed.
- Be available for and respond to emergency service work.
Experience
- 3+ years as a service technician background working with power generation.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, mechanical systems repair, and electrical diagnostics.
- Hands-on experience with equipment troubleshooting across various systems including engines, electrical circuits, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals is essential.
- Experience working with heavy lifting equipment and performing manual handling tasks safely.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, multimeters, manometers, and other maintenance devices.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
