We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Night Restaurant Cleaner to help keep our restaurant and kitchen clean, sanitary, and ready for the following day.
This position begins shortly before the restaurant closes. The cleaner will start working in areas that are no longer being used and will remain after closing to complete the nightly deep cleaning.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, preparation surfaces, sinks, and work areas
- Sweep, scrub, and mop kitchen and restaurant floors
- Remove grease and food buildup from designated areas
- Clean restrooms and employee areas
- Empty trash and replace liners
- Clean dining areas after customers leave
- Follow a detailed nightly cleaning checklist
- Properly use and store cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Make sure the restaurant is clean, organized, and ready to open the next day
- Report maintenance, safety, or sanitation problems to management
Qualifications:
- Restaurant, kitchen, or commercial cleaning experience is preferred but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working around kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals
- Able to stand, bend, lift, and perform physical cleaning work throughout the shift
- Able to lift up to [30–50] pounds
- Must have reliable transportation for late-night shifts
