About the Role:
Ackerman Jewelers Inc in Tampa, FL is looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Watch Repair Apprentice to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Assist senior watchmakers with the repair, servicing, and maintenance of mechanical and quartz timepieces
- Perform basic watch repairs including battery replacements, band adjustments, and crystal replacements
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble watch movements under supervision
- Inspect watches for damage and diagnose mechanical or electrical issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked repair workbench
- Communicate repair status and timelines with customers and sales staff
- Handle and document customer timepieces with care and accuracy
Requirements:
- Strong interest in horology, watchmaking, or fine timepiece repair
- Exceptional attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to work with small, delicate components and precision tools
- Basic mechanical aptitude or prior experience in a related trade is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple repair orders
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Willingness to learn and grow within a structured apprenticeship program
