This position is for a licensed massage therapist to work within our Chiropractic office. Our office specializes in pediatric and prenatal patients. The majority of massage patients are pregnant or newly postpartum. We request that you be extremely comfortable with and knowledgeable about these factors when performing massage. Our massage rooms are also equipped with tables that have breast and belly cutouts for the patients to remain comfortable throughout their pregnancy and postpartum healing.
Responsibilities:
- Perform professional massage therapy treatments for clients, including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other specialized techniques as needed. Prenatal techniques required.
- Assess clients' needs to address their specific concerns
- Provide excellent customer service and ensure client comfort and satisfaction throughout the treatment
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including treatment notes and charts
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as chiropractors to develop comprehensive treatment plans for clients
- Stay informed about current trends and advancements in massage therapy techniques and incorporate them into practice
- Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards in the field of massage therapy
Requirements:
- Valid certification or license as a Massage Therapist
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Experience in pain management and acute pain management techniques
- Ability to perform physical examinations and assess patients' conditions accurately
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide effective patient service
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to providing high-quality care to clients
-Experience with prenatal / pregnancy massage a must!
