Our 22 acre campus is graced with old oaks, maples, and black walnuts. There is a field for chasing bubbles, a slope for winter sledding and hoop rolling, and wooded areas for climbing over logs and playing hide and seek.
A nature trail connects the two traditional playgrounds. An award-winning outdoor classroom encourages discovery. The barefoot sensory trail invites everyone to remove shoes and experience the textures and smells of grass, sand, pine needles, logs, and river rocks.
Light pours into the classrooms through long banks of windows. Hot lunch is served from our kitchen daily. And, the rafters in the chapel soar overhead as the children sing.
Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Early Childhood Substitute teachers to teach in all our programs. Our 2 year old classroom has an opening for 3 days a week from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM begiining Monday, October 5th through November 24th. Substitute teaching becomes available on the first day of school, September 8th. Ideal candidate's will have a passion for childhood development and creating a nurturing learning environment for young children.
You will work alongside an expereinced and passionate lead teacher with a 2 teacher to 10 student ratio. Diaper changing for the younger children is necesary. Ability to follow a pre-developed lesson plan is necesary. Previous experience caring for young children in a childcare setting is required.
- Implement pre-developed age-appropriate curriculum to foster children's cognitive and social development.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding the child's day
