Position Overview:
This position provides important administrative support to the Principal. The role also ensures that the front office and school operations run smoothly throughout the school year and summer. The role helps coordinate substitute teachers, scheduling, office supplies, major school events, and seasonal programs. It requires someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage both daily tasks and longer-term projects in a busy school environment, including summer operations and transitions
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily front office coverage during scheduled breaks and serve as the main backup for receptionist duties when needed.
- Coordinate the daily scheduling and assignment of substitute teachers.
- Maintain the master calendar for meeting rooms and the school vehicle fleet (vans/shuttles).
- Prepare substitute teacher pay sheets in coordination with the Business Office for payroll processing.
- Monitor inventory levels and order office supplies, copier materials, and branded school stationery as needed.
- Support the development and updates of the annual school-wide calendar.
- Assist with planning and preparation for Graduation and Baccalaureate ceremonies, including diploma checks, program materials, and ticket distribution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle both daily tasks and long-term or seasonal projects, including summer responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Experience managing calendars for meetings, events, and complex scheduling.
- Ability to handle confidential student and staff information with professionalism and discretion.
- Strong written communication skills, including clear and professional correspondence.
- Experience with student information systems (such as PowerSchool) strongly preferred.
- Self-starter with a proactive approach and the ability to anticipate needs and support a fast-paced school environment.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
