Job Summary:
As an LPN, you will have the rewarding opportunity to work one-on-one with special needs students during school hours, ensuring they receive the appropriate level of clinical care based on doctor's orders and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Your responsibilities will include assisting students with any medical needs that may arise throughout the school day, documenting daily activities, ensuring their safety, and providing assistance in case of emergencies. You will collaborate closely with other school nursing staff and Horizon case managers to ensure the well-being of the students.
Openings for Licensed Practical Nurses include:
- Providing one-on-one nursing care for special needs students in a classroom setting.
Responsibilities:
One-on-One LPN: Providing personalized nursing care to special needs students in a classroom setting, attending to their medical needs, administering medications, and providing support as required throughout the school day.
Requirements:
- Valid LPN License in New York: You must hold a current and active Licensed Practical Nurse license in the state of New York.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification: Possession of current BLS certification is required to ensure readiness in emergency situations.
