We are seeking an Sales Engineer to support municipal and industrial water and wastewater customers throughout Central Pennsylvania. This position combines technical problem solving, relationship development, and project-based equipment sales.
The Sales Engineer will work closely with consulting engineers, municipalities, contractors, equipment manufacturers, and internal support teams. The position is ideal for someone who understands water and wastewater systems and enjoys helping customers evaluate equipment, solve application challenges, and move projects from the design stage through order award.
What You Will Be Responsible For
- Manage outside sales activities for municipal and industrial water and wastewater equipment
- Develop and maintain relationships with consulting engineers, municipalities, industrial customers, and contractors
- Identify upcoming projects and position equipment early in the engineering and design process
- Review project specifications, bid documents, equipment schedules, and manufacturer quotations
- Provide technical product knowledge and application support to customers and consulting engineers
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and technical recommendations
- Support opportunities from the initial customer conversation through equipment selection and order award
- Coordinate with manufacturers and internal teams to ensure accurate pricing, submittals, and order fulfillment
- Introduce customers to new equipment, technologies, and process improvements
- Attend customer meetings, project reviews, manufacturer training programs, and equipment demonstrations
- Maintain an organized pipeline of projects, proposals, follow-up activities, and customer relationships
What We Are Looking For
- Experience within municipal or industrial water and wastewater systems, equipment, engineering, or technical sales
- Understanding of water and wastewater equipment such as pumps, treatment systems, filtration, aeration, screening, solids handling, or related process equipment
- Ability to read engineering specifications, bid documents, technical drawings, and equipment quotations
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building ability
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with internal sales, engineering, and manufacturer teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to travel regionally throughout the assigned territory
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or a related technical discipline preferred

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
