Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum tailored to PreK students, emphasizing hands-on learning and exploration.
- Create a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes independence, respect, and positive behavior management.
- Plan and execute engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood development concepts.
- Monitor and assess individual student progress through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction effectively.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists in early intervention or special education to support diverse learning needs.
- Maintain detailed records of student development, behavior management strategies, and classroom activities to ensure compliance with educational standards.
- Foster a safe, inclusive environment that supports child welfare, promotes social skills, and encourages active participation in classroom activities.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of Montessori teaching methods and early childhood education principles.
- Experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, including toddlers care and classroom management.
- Proficiency in curriculum development across subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and child welfare.
- Ability to design effective lesson plans that align with developmental milestones and standardized testing requirements.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs through special education or early intervention programs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior positively while fostering an environment of respect and curiosity.
