Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility, including buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fences to detect any security breaches or safety hazards.
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems to identify suspicious activities or security threats.
- Manage access control systems by verifying identities and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations using established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security breaches.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security incidents, accidents, or unusual activities observed during shifts.
- Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors as part of the onboarding process to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Utilize conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management skills to handle disputes or disruptive behavior professionally and safely.
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid including CPR when necessary.
- Conduct thorough searches and manual handling of items or individuals following safety guidelines to prevent theft or unauthorized access.
- Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or when required by legal procedures while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations.
Experience
- Proven experience in physical security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields demonstrating a strong understanding of security operations.
- Familiarity with surveillance technology including CCTV systems and access control platforms.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and familiarity with emergency response procedures is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of conflict de-escalation techniques, conflict management strategies, and loss prevention methods.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required and maintain physical security through patrolling and manual handling tasks.
- Experience in incident report writing with attention to detail for accurate documentation of events.
- Understanding of compliance with security regulations and legal requirements relevant to the role.

Pay: $18.00 - $18.50 per hour
