Schedule: 8:00 am – 5:30 pm, 4 shifts/week, 2-3 weekend shifts required per 4 week rotation
Your role with us
Join our dynamic and collaborative acute care therapy team at Salem Health as a physical therapist, where we work together to empower patients and overcome barriers to recovery. You’ll evaluate and treat patients across a wide range of specialty areas, including neuro-trauma, orthopedics, neurology, medical/surgical, and intensive care. As part of our Centers of Excellence, you’ll contribute to high-quality, evidence-based care for patients undergoing joint replacement, spine surgery, and stroke recovery. You’ll collaborate closely with therapy colleagues, care managers, physicians, and advanced practice providers in a fast-paced environment that allows flexibility in your daily schedule.
What you'll do
- Develop and implement treatment plans, ensuring progress towards functional goals with safe, effective strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation, reflecting patient progress.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to maximize patient outcomes and involve families in care plans.
- Proactively manage caseloads to meet patient needs, with flexibility required for department needs.
- Maintain effective communication and adhere to regulatory standards.
Required qualifications
- BS, MS, or Doctorate in physical therapy.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Oregon.
Additional information
- Acute clinical experience in the practice setting is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire.
- Be a team player and have proven success applying team approach to obtain resolution to an issue.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills for working with the rehabilitation team and patients.
- Demonstrated competency by implementing age, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate treatment plans and by appropriate documentation.
