Duties
- Prepare fresh sandwiches and food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and food safety.
- Operate POS systems such as Square to process transactions accurately and swiftly.
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest experience.
- Handle cash transactions with precision, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas, including bussing tables and food handling duties.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure quick service without compromising quality.
- Support the team with food safety practices, proper food handling procedures, and adherence to sanitation protocols in a fast-paced restaurant or café setting.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and sanitizing the workspace.
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation, cashiering, or customer service within a quick-service or fast-food restaurant is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with POS systems.
- Culinary experience or background working in the food industry helps in understanding food safety standards and proper handling techniques.
- Strong time management skills are essential for multitasking during busy hours while maintaining excellent service.
- Experience working in retail environments like grocery stores or cafés can provide valuable skills applicable to this role.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation practices, and basic math for cash handling ensures smooth daily operations.
- Ability to work flexible hours and open availability is preferred to support team needs during peak times.
