We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Flat Top Grill Cook to join our food truck culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of meat and vegetable toppings to complement our delicious baked potatoes. The Griddle Cook will ensure all food items are prepared to our high-quality standards while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook various meats (e.g., chicken, beef, bacon) and vegetables (e.g., onions, peppers, mushrooms) on the griddle.
Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and prepped according to company standards.
Cooking and Presentation:
Cook ingredients to the desired level of doneness and ensure proper seasoning and flavor balance.
Maintain consistency in taste and appearance of all toppings served.
Kitchen Operations:
Keep the griddle area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary ingredients and utensils.
Follow all health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe cooking environment.
Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies as needed.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service.
Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely service.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a cook, preferably in a similar fast-paced kitchen environment.
Strong knowledge of griddle cooking techniques and food safety practices.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
Food Handlers Certification
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and high-temperature food trailer environment.
Store Hours required to work:
Tues - Fri 11a-6p
Sat & Sun 11a-4p
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
