Duties
- Assist with meal preparation and food assembly, following recipes and presentation standards
- Handle food with care, ensuring proper storage, handling, and sanitation practices in compliance with food safety regulations
- Use knife skills to chop, slice, and prepare ingredients efficiently and safely
- Support cooking processes by monitoring temperatures, timing, and cooking methods to ensure quality results
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts to uphold hygiene standards
- Help with catering events or special meal services as needed to support team operations
- Follow all food handling procedures diligently to prevent cross-contamination and ensure guest safety
Skills
- Proven experience in cooking and meal preparation within a restaurant or food service environment
- Strong knife skills with the ability to handle various kitchen tools safely and effectively
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work quickly under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving guests and supporting colleagues
- Basic understanding of culinary techniques and food industry standards
